Architects and Construction
B. Lane Hasler P.C. represents architects and their firms in a range of matters specific to that field. BLHPC serves as "in house" counsel to several small to medium sized architectural practices, managing their corporate entities, contracts, employees and client matters.

BLHPC's construction practice focuses on representing upper market contractors and homeowners in handling all aspects of construction including AIA contracts, performance issues and mechanics liens. A specific focus of the practice is the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act both as it impacts contractors and homeowners.

Bankruptcy
B. Lane Hasler, P.C. has extensive experience in representing creditors and debtors in chapter 11 bankruptcy, reorganization cases. In his twenty years of practice, B. Lane Hasler has been through several bankruptcy cycles starting in the late 1980s representing large public companies in chapter 11 reorganizations and continuing through the current economic downturn representing small to middle market creditors and business debtors. A specific focus of the practice is assisting in the buying and selling of claims in workouts and backruptcy cases.

Corporate and Business
B. Lane Hasler, P.C. provides a broad range of legal services to its clients, including business entity formation (such as the organization of limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations), and advice relating to employer/employee matters, buy-sell arrangements, lease negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, sales of assets and other transactional matters.

Dispute Resolution and Litigation
BLHPC believes that disputes should be resolved through litigation only as a last resort. Clients are encouraged to explore all possible alternatives before a decision is made to pursue litigation. If there is no other viable option, BLHPC will plan and implement a cost-effective course of action focused on the client's objectives. A key part of the litigation strategy is keeping the client informed and involved so the client controls the process and its costs.
